Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are your candles all natural?
We use completely natural coconut and soy (CocoSoy) wax in our candles, combine them with IFRA certified scents and use natural cotton wicks. We can proudly state that there are no toxic substances harmful to health in our products.
  • What is paraffin, why don't you use it?
It is a hydrocarbon extracted from substances such as paraffin, petroleum, naphtha and tar. In short, it is a petroleum byproduct and is harmful to health. We prefer to use natural materials in our products so that you and your loved ones can use them safely.
  • How can we tell if a candle contains paraffin?
Unfortunately, you can understand this from the declaration of the place you purchased it from, unless you do chemical experiments. Natural candle manufacturers will confidently put labels on their products stating that they are natural. If you do not see a note about the naturalness of the product in the product information, it is very likely that it contains paraffin.
  • What is CocoSoy and why do you use it?
CocoSoy, also known as Coconut and Soy mixture wax, is a premium quality wax and is a completely herbal and natural candle raw material due to its content. It mainly contains Soy wax in the mixture, but it also contains coconut oil and wax, which prevents problems such as intense color change, surface roughening, pitting and collapse formation in Soy waxes. In this way, you will get an image as smooth as the first time after each application.
  • Do you make candles yourself?
Yes, we hand-pour all our products ourselves in Izmir.
  • Are the scents you use harmful to your health?
The essences we use are reliable fragrance oils that do not contain any substances harmful to health, including phthalates, have received the IFRA Certificate, and have been tested by expert scent manufacturers.
  • What is the IFRA certificate you are talking about, what does it mean?
IFRA Certificate is a certificate issued for essences produced in accordance with the rules published by IFRA (International Fragrance Association). In short, IFRA restricts the use of certain substances in essences for health and safety reasons. Since all the essences we use are IFRA certified, they are suitable for use in terms of health and safety and do not contain toxic substances.
  • How intense and lasting are the scents of your candles?
Although the intensity level of each scent in our selection is different, we are sure that all of them will remain the same from the first day you buy them to the last day you use them. We have many different scents, from light and fresh scents to intense and woody scents. Each of them are natural scents whose notes you can smell and which do not give you a headache. Unlike paraffin candles, it continues to give off its pleasant scent even when burning and when you extinguish it, and it does not smell of soot or smoke. In order to feel the scent clearly in the spaces, an ideally sized space and candle must be matched. Our glass candles are large enough for areas under 30m2, and we recommend using several products at the same time in larger rooms to feel the scent more. You can choose the same or different scents together.
  • Why don't you color your candles?
There are dyes in the powder and liquid varieties developed for candles, but we do not use dyes because we set out with the principle of being natural and do not want to include harmful chemicals.
  • Why don't you decorate your candles?
Candle wicks must be kept away from any objects that could catch fire while burning. For candles where we recommend the entire surface to melt, decorations pose a high safety risk due to the potential for ignition. Additionally, decorations such as flowers or natural stones can get trapped in the melted wax, losing their aesthetic appeal even after the first burn. For both safety and usability, we do not recommend using candles with such decorations.
  • How should we use and store our candles?
Tips for long-lasting and proper use: Allow the Entire Surface to Melt: Each time you light the candle, let the entire surface melt. This may take 1-2 hours depending on the size of the container, but it prevents the formation of a tunnel around the wick. Trim the Wick: Before each use, trim the wick to ensure the candle's surface remains clean and the flame burns evenly. Avoid Burning for Too Long: Avoid burning the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Otherwise, large, flickering, and uneven flames may form. Safety First: Always ensure the candle is placed on a heat-resistant, flat surface away from flammable materials, children, and pets, within a controllable distance. We include a "Candle Care Guide" with every order containing these notes. Additionally, since our candles are completely natural, their melting point is lower compared to paraffin candles. Therefore, keep them away from direct sunlight and areas where the temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius, and store them in cool places.
